Sr. Technical Project Manager (Agile, Cloud & Data Integration) - W2 Only

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead technology initiatives for an automotive client. The ideal candidate combines strong project execution and Agile delivery skills with practical technical knowledge of cloud platforms, application architecture, APIs, data platforms, and software delivery. This role requires someone who can independently drive execution, manage dependencies and blockers, maintain delivery discipline, communicate clearly with leadership, and work effectively with engineering and architecture teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Own project planning, sprint execution, backlog prioritization, dependency management, and release coordination.
Maintain strong delivery discipline using Jira and Confluence, including backlog hygiene, action tracking, acceptance criteria, and Definition of Done.
Drive work to completion by proactively identifying blockers, following up on dependencies, and ensuring commitments are closed rather than remaining partially complete.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Provide concise executive-level communication on project progress, business value, risks, decisions, dependencies, and next steps.
Manage project scope, schedule, risks, issues, changes, and stakeholder expectations.
Handle delivery challenges, team conflicts, missed commitments, and escalations professionally and constructively.
Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams on technical initiatives involving APIs, cloud platforms, data pipelines, integrations, and application deployments.
Understand technical architecture and dependencies well enough to ask informed questions, identify delivery risks, and communicate technical impacts to business stakeholders.
Respect established engineering and architecture ownership while ensuring agreed technical decisions are translated into executable plans and delivered successfully.
Track project KPIs and continuously improve delivery processes and team execution.

Required Skills:
8+ years of IT Project or Program Management experience.
Strong experience managing Agile/Scrum-based software delivery.
Advanced proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and project governance/reporting tools.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects involving multiple teams and dependencies.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, code review, environments, release management, and Definition of Done.
Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS.
Ability to understand application architecture, system integrations, APIs, data flows, and technical dependencies.
Experience working with data platforms, data pipelines, or integration-focused initiatives.
Strong executive and stakeholder communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
Strong problem-solving, organization, prioritization, and follow-through.
Ability to remain composed, constructive, and confident when handling ambiguity, challenges, or difficult stakeholder situations.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build productive relationships with developers, architects, business stakeholders, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:
PMP and/or CSM certification.
Experience delivering technology initiatives within large enterprise environments.
Automotive industry experience is a plus.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree.
