Role Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract position. This role will be part of the Hardware Test Engineering team, focusing on the next generation of robotic system design. The ideal candidate will work with hardware development, program management, and other test team members, utilizing electrical experience and problem-solving skills to improve test execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Test Engineers, Hardware, and Software developers on testing tools and techniques.
- Maintain the uptime of existing test fixtures.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control issues.
- Develop test subsystems and related documentation.
- Execute tests and acquire test data.
Required Qualifications
Education: AS or BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience: 0-2 years of industry experience testing hardware.
Technical Skills:- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Experience with assembling electro-mechanical fixtures.
- Ability to perform board re-works based on schematics.
- Board-level soldering experience.
- Experience with cable assembly and bring-up.
- Experience using standard electrical bench test instruments.
- Ability to understand and execute documented test procedures.
- Proficiency in collecting test data and documenting test artifacts and conditions.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic devices under test.
- Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment and executing simple scripts.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $26.00 and $36.00 per hour.
