Power BI / Microsoft Fabric Developer

Role Summary

This position designs, develops, and deploys enterprise data reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI, DAX, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks. The role translates complex business and reporting requirements into scalable, high-performing dashboards, reports, and data models. This position works collaboratively with business stakeholders, data engineers, and platform teams to deliver reliable, production-quality analytics solutions that support data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze reporting requirements from business stakeholders to inform dashboard, report, and data model design.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service to develop and manage enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and semantic modeling, including the development of complex calculations and reporting solutions.
• Strong SQL skills, including experience writing complex queries, performing data transformations, and optimizing query performance.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric technologies, including Lakehouse, OneLake, Data Factory, and Dataflows Gen2.
• Experience integrating Power BI with Databricks or comparable enterprise data platforms.
• Experience designing scalable dimensional or star-schema data models for enterprise reporting.
• Working knowledge of data security, governance, access controls, and authentication practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.
• Ability to work onsite in a corporate office environment as required.

• Develop efficient data models, relationships, measures, and KPIs using DAX to support accurate and effective reporting.
• Transform and prepare data using Power Query and SQL, integrating information from Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and other relevant data sources.
• Optimize report, query, refresh, and semantic model performance to support scalability and reliability.
• Implement appropriate data security controls, including workspace permissions and row-level security, to protect sensitive information.
• Develop and maintain documentation for report logic, data sources, workflows, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to identify and resolve data quality and reporting issues.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant data analytics technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
• Support deployment, version control, and release management processes to promote stable and consistent reporting environments.

Publishing Pay Range: $41.00 - $42.00 Hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
