Duration: 12+ Months (Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension)
Shift: 1st shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM OT may be requested by client
Pay Range: $20/hr to $23/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Graphic Designer Print Specialist to support visual workplace initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role combines graphic design, print production, and operational coordination to create and maintain effective visual systems that enhance workplace organization, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Design print layouts for custom signage, shadow boards, labels, and visual displays using tools such as Adobe Illustrator
Produce and print labels, decals, banners, and signage for facility-wide use
Manage incoming 5S requests and maintain tracking systems
Support implementation of visual workplace standards aligned with 5S methodology
Maintain and update internal systems, including Microsoft SharePoint
Coordinate with skilled trades for preparation and installation of signage and boards
Manage inventory of print supplies, raw materials, and consumables
Order printing materials and maintain vendor relationships
Perform routine maintenance and updates of existing factory signage
Collaborate with process improvement and operations teams on visual solutions
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Experience using graphic design software, preferably Adobe Illustrator
Basic knowledge of print production processes (labels, signage, large-format printing)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Basic computer proficiency (file management, tracking systems, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with 5S or lean manufacturing principles
Background in signage, print production, or industrial design
Familiarity with inventory management and supply ordering
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a production environment
Work Environment
Manufacturing facility setting
Requires standing, walking, and handling materials
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
