Agile Scrum Master

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 12 months

Payrate: $70.00 - 73.94/hr

Role Overview

An Agile Scrum Master is sought for a project centered on Data Resiliency Capabilities (DRC). This position is accountable for scrum team execution and for optimizing the workflow that produces business value. The candidate should be a self-starter who requires minimal direction, takes ownership of assignments, and partners with resources in a matrixed environment. The role involves supporting at least one scrum team and assisting with change coordination for all project releases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and facilitate scrum team processes and routines, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Story and Epic Refinement, and Retrospectives.
  • Promote quality practices and maintain consistent scrum team working agreements.
  • Protect the team from distractions to their commitments, and manage and resolve team impediments.
  • Measure and report on team performance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist with change coordination responsibilities for all project releases, adhering to all enterprise change standards.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery across complex execution efforts, ensuring all people, process, and technology deliverables are managed appropriately.
Required Qualifications

Experience:
  • Proven track record as an experienced scrum master directly leading multiple scrum teams.
  • Experience providing execution progress updates and leading discussions with senior technology and business partners.
  • Experience with Change and Risk Management.
  • Experience with Release Management and Coordination.

Skills:
  • Agile Scrum Master capabilities and proficiency with Agile Methodology.
  • Proficiency with JIRA.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with team members, business partners, and executive stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Agile Scrum Master Certification.
  • Recent experience as a Scrum Master within a large financial institution within the last 4-5 years.
  • Recent Change Management experience related to Release Management and Coordination using tools such as Remedy, RMT, and PPRT.
