Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado (Onsite)

The candidate will be a primary Network Engineer supporting a test program. In this role, the candidate will serve as a Network Engineer and Developer supporting network build-out and deployments to the operational environment as necessary. The candidate will work with the events team to understand the test schedule and support all upcoming tests.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary Network Engineer for a test program.
- Support network build-out and deployments to the operational environment.
- Collaborate with the events team to understand test schedules and provide support.
- Engage in network design, development, and testing methodologies.
- Handle network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Work with security practices such as STIG compliance and system accreditation efforts.
- Assess compliance of information systems with RMF standards.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on large field projects.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Generally has 3+ years of related experience. Hands-on mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development, and testing methodologies.
Technical Skills:- A solid understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, and routing protocols BGP and OSPF.
- Proven network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.
- Firewall experience with Juniper firewalls is a must.
- Experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.
- Hands-on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.
- Understanding of standard security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.
- Familiar with RMF, including hands-on work with RMF topics and the assessment of compliance of information systems with required standards.
Certifications: Must possess a certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
Additional Skills: Must be an effective communicator with writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
