Senior Technology Manager - Global Data-Network Operations

Role Summary
This senior-level management role oversees the strategy, governance, and daily operations of a global data network operations team. Responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of extensive network infrastructure, the position emphasizes automation, AI-driven solutions, and modernized operating models. The role involves leading a distributed team, fostering innovation, and aligning network functions with enterprise objectives to deliver seamless connectivity across multiple environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for global data network operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
• Lead and manage a large, distributed technical team providing advanced support across data centers, core networks, branches, and cloud environments.
• Drive automation and AI initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, predictive maintenance, and rapid incident response.
• Oversee the diagnosis and resolution of complex network issues related to routing, switching, SD-WAN, firewalls, and related technologies.
• Establish and track key performance indicators to improve network reliability and operational efficiency, including incident management metrics.
• Build and foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support strategic objectives.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and reliability through coaching, performance feedback, and development programs.
• Ensure compliance with risk, security, and regulatory requirements across all network operations.
• Manage budgets, resource planning, and workforce strategy to meet operational needs and organizational growth.
• Lead initiatives for process simplification, workload reduction, and integration of modern operating models such as NOC, SRE, and automation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Over 15 years of experience in large-scale network operations, infrastructure engineering, or related fields, with at least 7 years in senior leadership roles within complex, regulated, and global environments.
• Proven success managing 24x7 follow-the-sun teams and mission-critical incident management.
• Expert knowledge of network technologies including Routing & Switching, Firewalls, SDN (Cisco ACI, VMware NSX), SDWAN, and related tools.
• Strong background in network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IPv6, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with modern network architectures and frameworks, including ITIL, Agile, LEAN, and DevOps.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at an executive level and influence cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work irregular hours as required for a global operational model.
• Strong analytical capabilities to identify gaps and mitigate risks in complex systems.
• Relevant industry certifications in network technologies preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical discipline.

Publishing Pay Range: $180,000.00 - $230,000.00 Annually
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
