Business Analyst & Process Design (Telecom OSS/BSS)

Location : Remote

Job Description:

The role requires a strong Business Analyst with expertise in process design and transformation within the telecom domain, with a specific focus on OSS/BSS systems. The candidate will bridge business needs with technology solutions by analyzing requirements, designing optimized processes, and supporting end-to-end transformation initiatives across telecom operations and customer-facing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements across OSS (Operations Support Systems) and BSS (Business Support Systems).
  • Translate business needs into process designs, workflows, and solution requirements aligned with OSS/BSS architecture.
  • Lead process design and re-engineering initiatives across areas such as order management, service fulfillment, provisioning, billing, and assurance.
  • Create detailed process models using UML diagrams (Use Case, Activity, Sequence diagrams).
  • Apply industry frameworks like eTOM for standardized telecom process design.
  • Perform AS-IS vs TO-BE gap analysis across OSS/BSS layers and recommend transformation strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT, network, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration between OSS and BSS systems.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirement validation sessions.
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure solutions meet business and operational expectations.

Key Skills

  • Strong understanding of OSS/BSS architecture and telecom lifecycle processes.
  • Expertise in process modeling, business analysis, and solution design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with telecom systems such as CRM, billing, provisioning, inventory, and network management.
  • Ability to work in complex transformation programs involving multiple systems and stakeholders.
