POSITION OVERVIEW:MicroStrategy Cloud Admin Lead POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
Day to Day job Duties:(what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)
• Own and manage MicroStrategy platform operations within MCE, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability across clustered environments
• Proactively monitor platform health using Platform Analytics and other tools, and take corrective actions to maintain optimal performance
• Support SSO integrations (SAML), user access, and security configurations
• Support platform upgrades, new feature enablement, and adoption of evolving MicroStrategy capabilities
• Troubleshoot complex platform, reporting, and performance issues, ensuring minimal business disruption
• Drive automation and process improvements to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, data, cloud, security) for seamless platform operations
• Support governance and compliance requirements aligned with enterprise standards
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating ownership, adaptability, and continuous learning
Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in MicroStrategy platform administration with strong exposure to enterprise BI environments and cloud-based deployments.
• Minimum 8+ years of total IT experience in Admin roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with MicroStrategy platform administration, including clustered environments and high-availability configurations
• Experience working in cloud-based BI ecosystems (AWS / Managed Cloud Environment – MCE)
• Good understanding of SAML-based SSO integrations and authentication mechanisms
• Solid knowledge of SQL, data warehousing concepts, and query performance analysis
• Working knowledge of MicroStrategy reporting, including ability to build and analyze Platform Analytics (PA) reports
• Familiarity with MicroStrategy tools such as Developer, Workstation, Command Manager, and System Manager
• Experience with automation, scripting, and operational efficiency improvements
• Exposure to modern capabilities such as AI features, monitoring, and intelligent workflows (nice to have)
• Strong understanding of security, access control, and governance models
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new platform capabilities and frequent product updates
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
• Strong ownership mindset with focus on platform stability and user experience
• Ability to adapt quickly to evolving technologies and MicroStrategy feature releases
