Pay Range: $100/hr - $105/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Note; Client is looking for candidates from these locations only : Houston, TX/ Raleigh, NC / Jersey City, NJ.
  • Process Strategy and Delivery
  • Develop and lead the process and decision intelligence delivery for the Acquisition Platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives, product strategy, and enterprise standards.
  • Establish architectural patterns for workflow orchestration, rules management, and decisioning, including separation of concerns between process, policy, and underlying systems.
  • Define how business processes integrate with PBCs, APIs, events, and data platforms to ensure consistency, resilience, and scalability across the end to end acquisition lifecycle.
  • Ensure process and decision solutions are modular, reusable, explainable, and auditable to support long term platform evolution and regulatory needs.
  • Workflow, Rules, and Intelligence Enablement
  • Lead the selection and application of workflow, rules, and decision intelligence platforms and supporting tooling.
  • Establish standards and best practices for process modeling, rules definition, versioning, and governance.
  • Partner with process designers and business stakeholders to ensure business intent is accurately translated into executable workflows and rules.
  • Promote event driven and state aware process patterns where appropriate to support long running, cross system acquisition flows.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Team, Product Architect, Platform Integration Lead, Platform Experience Lead, and Platform Engineering Lead to align process, experience, and platform strategies.
  • Translate complex business processes and decision requirements into technical approaches that balance business outcomes, platform constraints, and delivery velocity.
  • Engage with cross functional teams including reporting, analytics, and operations to ensure process and intelligence solutions align with platform goals and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Implementation and Development Support
  • Guide and support delivery teams during the development and deployment of workflows, rules, and decision intelligence solutions.
  • Provide hands on leadership and mentorship to engineers implementing process orchestration, rules, and analytics driven capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and measurable outcomes in process and decision delivery.
  • External Orientation
  • Stay current with industry trends in process automation, decision intelligence, workflow orchestration, and intelligent automation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and patterns to continuously improve process efficiency, transparency, and outcome predictability.
  • Where appropriate, validate new approaches through Proof of Concept or Proof of Value engagements.
  • Compliance, Quality, and Risk Management
  • Ensure process, rules, and decision intelligence solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with risk, compliance, and security teams to ensure workflows and decision logic are auditable, explainable, and defensible.
  • Influence the maturity of process and rules related standards and policies where the unique needs of the Acquisition Platform require it.
  • Leadership and Talent Development
  • Work with IT and platform leadership to embrace product centric, outcome driven ways of working.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within process, rules, and intelligence teams.
  • Identify skill gaps in process modeling, rules, analytics, and intelligent automation, and help drive training, coaching, and capability development across the organization.
  • Technical Skills and Competencies
  • Business process and workflow design principles domain aligned process modeling, orchestration vs. choreography, high cohesion and low coupling between process steps and underlying systems
  • Rules and decision intelligence architecture business rules management, decision tables, rule versioning, explainability, and auditability in regulated environments
  • Workflow and orchestration platforms experience designing and governing complex, long running workflows that span multiple systems and channels
  • Process to platform alignment ability to translate re engineered business processes into executable workflows aligned with Packaged Business Capabilities (PBCs)
  • Event driven and stateful process design managing process state, exceptions, retries, and compensating actions across asynchronous systems
  • Process observability and intelligence defining metrics, KPIs, and telemetry to measure process performance, throughput, cycle time, and outcomes
  • Data driven decisioning leveraging data and analytics to inform process optimization, automation opportunities, and continuous improvement
  • AI assisted process intelligence applying AI/ML and LLM assisted techniques to process discovery, optimization, and insight generation
  • Responsible AI use consideration of regulatory compliance, explainability, data exposure, and operational risk when applying AI to rules and decisioning
  • Growth oriented mindset ability to think beyond current process constraints and define future state operating models enabled by automation and intelligence
  • Excellent communication skills ability to translate between business stakeholders, process designers, engineers, and data teams

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Workflow Orchestration & Business Process Automation
  • Rules Engine / Decision Intelligence Architecture
  • Event-Driven Architecture & API Integrations
  • Process Intelligence, Analytics & KPI Optimization
  • Enterprise Agile Delivery & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • 5+ years of experience in business process, workflow, rules, or decision intelligence focused roles
  • Proven experience partnering with business process designers and engineering teams to deliver complex, cross system workflows
  • Strong background in rules engines, workflow orchestration, and process automation technologies
  • Experience integrating process and decision layers with APIs, data platforms, and event driven architectures
  • Experience applying Agile methodologies in product centric or platform centric delivery models
  • Enterprise scale delivery experience, including collaboration with both onshore and offshore cross functional teams
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, or retirement services, particularly in acquisition or onboarding heavy domains
  • Experience with complex, regulated business processes requiring auditability, traceability, and explainability
  • Familiarity with process intelligence, reporting, and analytics platforms used to measure operational and customer outcomes
  • Experience applying intelligent automation, rules optimization, or AI driven insights in enterprise environments.
