Infrastructure Engineer (Part-Time)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer for a part-time consulting opportunity with an organization in the Leawood, KS area.

Summary:
This temporary role supports Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID), and hybrid identity synchronization in a regulated enterprise environment. The contractor will focus on hands-on identity operations, troubleshooting, security controls, and audit support-not application development or general cloud engineering. The Infrastructure Engineer will work with a few primary technologies; Active Directory (on prem), Azure AD/Entra ID, Azure AD Connect/Hybrid identity sync.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of hands-on Active Directory administration
* Direct experience managing hybrid AD + Azure AD environments
* Real-world experience with Azure AD Connect (not just familiarity)
* Experience supporting security or compliance requirements (audit support, regulated environments)
* Experience with PowerShell
* Some network administration exposure
* Azure experience should nor be limited to -user administration- only
* Should be able to explain identity syncing at a high level

The candidate should confidently confirm experience with most of the following:
* Active Directory
* User, group, and service account management
* Group Policy (GPO) administration
* AD health, replication, and DNS dependencies
* Privileged account handling (admin roles, service accounts)
* Azure AD/Entra
* ID
* Azure AD tenant administration
* Conditional
* Access and MFA concepts
* Role-based access (RBAC)
* Identity security fundamentals
* Hybrid Identity/Sync
* Azure AD
* Connect or Cloud Sync
* Sync scope and filtering
* Troubleshooting sync failures
* Understanding password sync verses pass-through authentication

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
