UX Designer (Strong UX Focus) - Enterprise / BankingLocation: Open to CharlotteEmployment Type: W2 ContractorAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled
UX Designer with strong end-to-end UX capabilities and solid UI proficiency. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in enterprise environments, can operate with minimal oversight, and is comfortable partnering directly with business stakeholders. You will help support and expand our existing design system while also contributing to the creation of a new mobile design system.
Top Skills & Experience RequiredCore UX SkillsCandidates must demonstrate the ability to independently lead UX efforts across multiple projects. Strong expertise is required in:
- User research
- Conducting stakeholder and customer interviews
- A/B testing
- Prototyping
- Interaction design
Figma ExpertiseProficiency in Figma is essential, including:
- Creating and managing components
- Operating within an established design system
- Understanding and applying scalable interaction patterns
Design System ResponsibilitiesYou will contribute to the enhancement and expansion of our design systems:
- Maintain and evolve an existing enterprise design system
- Support the buildout of a new mobile design system
- Contribute to the goal of developing 40 new components over the next year
- Configure and structure components in Figma suitable for multiple teams and platforms
- Work across several initiatives simultaneously while ensuring consistency and quality
UX/UI BalanceWhile UI skills are important, we are specifically targeting designers who are
UX-heavy and comfortable:
- Gathering and interpreting business requirements
- Facilitating discussions with product owners and business partners
- Translating complex problems into clear, user-centered solutions
Industry & Experience Preferences- Enterprise experience is strongly preferred
- Banking experience is ideal

Portfolio RequirementsApplicants must include a portfolio link demonstrating strong end-to-end UX capabilities. Portfolios should include:
- Wireframes
- Personas
- Research findings and UX artifacts
- User flows
- Some UI designs (UX-focused overall)
- Slide decks are acceptable

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
