Description
We are looking for an experienced Network Analyst III to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in supporting enterprise network operations and collaborating on projects requiring advanced networking expertise. This role involves direct interaction with end users, requiring strong communication and troubleshooting skills, as well as extensive experience with firewalls and network security.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for network-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruptions.
Act as a resource for diagnosing and resolving performance issues across networks and applications.
Utilize network monitoring and configuration management tools to oversee operations and maintain optimal performance.
Manage service requests, outages, and change requests through the organization's service portal.
Identify and recommend technologies and solutions based on industry standards and best practices.
Coordinate and oversee scheduled maintenance activities, including weekend operations.
Collaborate effectively with global teams and end users to address technical concerns and provide clear communication.
Troubleshoot and analyze data packets using tools like Wireshark to identify root causes of application performance issues.
Support field technicians and ensure seamless operations within the Oil and Gas industry.
Maintain and configure firewalls, VPNs, and other security protocols to safeguard network integrity.
Requirements
Proven track record with 7-10 years of experience in enterprise-level network troubleshooting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical issues clearly.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto products, including Panorama, NextGen Firewalls, and Prisma.
Proficiency in working with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless hardware.
Advanced knowledge of Wireshark for packet-level analysis and root cause identification.
Expertise in troubleshooting VPN technologies, DMVPNs, spanning tree protocols, and network security.
Familiarity with network management protocols such as NetFlow and IP-based systems.
Experience in the Oil and Gas industry, particularly providing support to field technicians.
