Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Project Manager (GenAI) for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in New York, NY .

Responsibilities :
  • Responsible for the execution of data programs and regulatory change initiatives, including:
    • Developing and implementing Gen AI solutioning strategies in partnership with Technology
    • Leading strategic planning and Target Operating Model (TOM) design and implementation
    • Driving transformative change initiatives across the organization
  • Provide essential project management support for the execution of a key project within the Data Operations Group. This role will ensure robust governance, tracking, and reporting for related projects.
  • Provide comprehensive project management support for our enterprise reference data utility execution, including formalizing meeting minutes, tracking project plans, dependencies, risks, and actions.
  • Prepare and update governance decks and project reports for various stakeholder groups, including steering committees and working groups.
  • Coordinate heavily across Operations, Technology, and many other stakeholders.
  • Maintain and track project documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility.
  • Provide robust tracking and governance, monitoring progress and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Support other smaller projects within the Data Operations Group, applying PM best practices.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of project timelines, resource plans, and budget tracking.
Required Skills :
  • Bachelor's/University degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a project management role within the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in project governance, reporting, risk management, and issue tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and formalize project documentation, including minutes, action logs, and project plans.
  • Experience in creating and updating governance decks and management reports.
  • Strong organizational skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience and understanding of referential data
  • Experience with AI tooling to deliver robust AI capabilities to key partners
  • Execution/delivery focus: A strong commitment to delivering high-quality PM support and ensuring project success.
  • Organizational and program management skills: Exceptional ability to organize information, track multiple items simultaneously, and maintain clear project oversight.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills: Capable of preparing clear reports, minutes, and presentations, and facilitating effective meetings.
  • Problem-solving skills: Proactive in identifying and structuring issues, particularly with data concerns, and contributing to their resolution.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in documenting information and tracking project elements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and individuals, fostering collaboration and clear communication.
Preferred Skills :
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
  • Understanding of data management principles and experience with issue tracking systems is highly desirable.
