IT Trainer / Content Developer

Seeking an IT Trainer / Content Developer to deliver technical training to adult learners and develop/update training materials for IT applications.

The consultant will conduct onsite classroom training and virtual training through Microsoft Teams, covering desktop, web, and mobile applications. 
The role involves identifying training needs, developing course content, managing learner activities through an LMS, and collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders.
 Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct onsite, virtual, webinar, and user-group training.

• Deliver training on IT applications and systems.

• Identify training needs and develop appropriate courses and content.

• Develop and maintain:

  • PowerPoint presentations

  • Trainer Guides

  • Quick Reference Guides

  • User Manuals

  • Storyboards

  • Training Videos

  • Computer-Based Training

• Manage course schedules, enrollments, testing, completions, grades, and certifications through an LMS.

• Collect learner feedback and surveys to improve training delivery.

• Collaborate with IT teams, HR, business units, vendors, and stakeholders.

• Prepare training environments and materials before classes.

• Support application rollouts, UAT, and ongoing production training.

• Maintain accurate training, activity, and performance records.

• Travel within Georgia to conduct scheduled onsite training.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Microsoft Office / Office 365 experience.

• 4+ years of IT technical training, computer technology, IT applications/systems, and/or end-user support.

• 5+ years of strong communication, presentation, and teaching skills.

• 1+ year developing role-based end-user training content for IT applications/systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Teaching, IT, or related field, OR Associate Degree + 2 years IT experience, OR IT certification + 4 years IT experience.

• Ability and flexibility to travel within Georgia for onsite training.

Preferred Skills:

• 4+ years: Instructional design, visual design, storyboarding, instructional writing, audio/video scripts.

• 2+ years: Adobe Captivate

• 2+ years: TechSmith Camtasia

• 2+ years: Articulate 360 / Storyline

• 1+ year: Microsoft Teams

• 1+ year: Maintaining training records within an LMS

• Oracle LMS / Cornerstone LMS experience

• Familiarity with ServiceNow.
