Role Overview
We are seeking an engineer for the Builder Operations and Test Systems (BOTS) Build and CI/CD team. This team is responsible for developer experience, DevOps, CI/CD, and production services. The role involves system design, backend services, and advanced knowledge of AWS cloud services infrastructure. The candidate will participate in all phases of software development, from requirements through implementation and operations, and must be able to navigate ambiguity to design flexible and scalable solutions in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in software architecture, design, and development.
- Design and implement software using the AWS stack, including IAM, Lambdas, CloudWatch, API gateways, and EC2.
- Work with CDK constructs and pipelines.
- Build tools for developer productivity, monitoring, and observability metrics dashboards.
- Partner with low-level embedded code software systems.
- Architect scalable design solutions for software distribution and deployment.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor and in leading a development project.
Technical Skills:- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one backend language such as Golang, PHP, Python, or Java.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $73.00/hr to $83.00/hr. Please note that the pay range may be wider in states with pay transparency laws and that the offered rate may vary based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
