Job Title: SCCM Engineer

Location: Buffalo, NY Hybrid – 4 Days/week Onsite

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Duration: 14-Month Contract (Potential for Extension/Conversion)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SCCM Engineer to join an enterprise technology team in a hybrid environment. This is a hands-on, operations-focused role that blends project-based software packaging work with ongoing BAU (Business As Usual) support.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in endpoint management, OS deployments, patch management, and automation using PowerShell. This role requires someone who can work independently, improve processes, and contribute to operational stability within a large enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support Microsoft SCCM (latest versions preferred)

• Perform OS deployments, imaging, and patch management

• Execute application distribution and endpoint management

• Troubleshoot deployment failures and endpoint issues

• Perform end-to-end software packaging (create, test, deploy)

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation

• Improve deployment processes and operational efficiency

• Provide ongoing BAU/operational support

• Participate in rotational on-call coverage (every 3 weeks)

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager

• Strong experience with:

o OS Deployment (OSD)

o Imaging

o Patch Management

o Application Distribution

• End-to-end software packaging experience

• Strong PowerShell scripting skills

• Experience troubleshooting deployment and endpoint management issues

• Experience working in enterprise-level environments

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated environments (banking, healthcare, finance)

• Intune experience

• JAMF (Mac environment) exposure

• Experience improving or building deployment processes
