Role Overview
We are seeking an Application Programmer to design and implement Python solutions within a proprietary platform for risk and P&L reporting. This role involves translating user requirements from various business units into production-quality code and contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes. The position requires a hybrid work model with three days onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Python solutions for XVA risk and P&L reporting needs.
- Deliver features iteratively following Agile methodologies.
- Translate user requirements from Trading, Quant, Finance, and Risk into production-quality code.
- Build and maintain components and workflows for an enterprise data reporting application.
- Write unit and integration tests, assist with user acceptance testing, and coordinate production deployments.
- Provide third-line production support, including root cause analysis and remediation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different time zones.
- Partner with Business Analysts and Project Managers to refine requirements and manage release plans.
- Contribute to improvements in code quality, observability, performance, and development tooling.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of development experience in a financial firm, with a focus on front-to-back risk and trading systems.
Technical Skills:- Expert-level Python for enterprise-scale applications.
- Experience with platforms similar to Quartz.
- Oracle database development, including PL/SQL, indexing strategies, and performance tuning for large datasets.
Soft Skills:- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with business and technical stakeholders.
- A strong problem-solving and investigative mindset.
- A team-oriented approach with proactive ownership of responsibilities.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $60.00 to $65.06 per hour. Please note that the final pay rate will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location.
