Role Overview
This position is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of purchased or custom application solutions. The role involves applying functional business knowledge to program and support individual components through planning, analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively with other developers and customers, adhering to established lifecycle methodology and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the design of business applications.
- Write technical specifications and provide technical recommendations.
- Test and review computer and business applications using RPG technologies.
- Design DB2/400 and SQL databases and coordinate physical changes to databases.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Provide training to other IT Developers on new development.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of programming experience, including 6+ years in RPGIV or RPGILE/400 and 6+ years using iSeries technologies such as SQL, CL, SDA, and RDA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JSON and API technologies.
- Experience supporting a service business.
- Communication skills for working with internal and external customers.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $50.00 to $55.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range may be adjusted based on the specific contract and client requirements.
