Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced GDPS Consultant who has successfully implemented GDPS solutions and can lead end-to-end GDPS engagements. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted expert, guiding clients through implementation, customization, training, and best practices for IBM GDPS technologies
Key Skills & Responsibilities
DASD
Strong understanding of DSCLI
DSCLI scripting and automation
Experience carving IBM DS8K storage (Pools, LSSs & Volumes)
Configure replication between sites
Design resilient DS8K replication with redundant connectivity across IBM Power devices and I/O compartments
z/OS
PARMLIB and PROCLIB updates
CLIST and RACF administration
Experience implementing customer-specific security requirements
Knowledge of DORA, FFIEC, and NIST compliance
Sysplex administration
Metro Mirror & HyperSwap configuration
NetView & System Automation (zSA)
Build and configure NetView environments from scratch
Customize DSIPARM and STGEN members
Strong REXX scripting experience
Policy Database (PDB) creation and management
Automation operator configuration
Security implementation and dual-control procedures
GDPS Leadership
Lead complete GDPS implementation projects
Customize GDPS solutions based on client environments
Conduct training sessions for technical teams, operations, and management
Provide expert guidance on GDPS architecture, implementation, customization, and operational best practices
