Integration Lead One-Page Role Description
Role Purpose
The Integration Lead is accountable for defining, designing, and delivering integration solutions that enable seamless communication and data exchange between systems. This role ensures that integration requirements from multiple stakeholders are translated into robust, scalable, and well-governed technical solutions aligned with the overall project and enterprise architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and validate integration requirements from multiple stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of functional needs, constraints, and system limitations.
Design integration architectures that connect diverse systems and components, selecting appropriate patterns, technologies, and communication protocols.
Define and maintain the overall integration strategy for assigned initiatives.
Develop technical integration plans, including implementation steps, dependencies, effort estimates, and delivery timelines.
Collaborate closely with development teams responsible for individual systems, providing guidance on integration requirements and reviewing design and implementation approaches.
Ensure alignment between integration solutions and the broader architectural and business strategy.
Identify integration-related risks and challenges (e.g., compatibility issues, dependencies, scalability constraints) and define mitigation and contingency plans.
Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, providing visibility into integration progress, risks, dependencies, and key technical decisions.
Support initial implementation and go-live phases, troubleshooting integration issues, and guiding teams through resolution.
Drive continuous improvement by proposing optimizations and enhancements to existing integrations.
Key Deliverables
Documented integration requirements and constraints.
Integration architecture designs and technical decision records.
Technical integration plans together with PM and Solution Coordinator with timelines, dependencies, and estimates.
API and integration specifications.
Integration documentation covering designs, configurations, and operational processes.
Risk and dependency assessments with mitigation strategies.
Production-ready integrations supported during initial rollout.
Required Experience & Skills
Proven experience designing and delivering system integrations.
Strong knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
Experience working with cross-functional development teams.
Solid understanding of cloud and distributed systems.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Tech Stack: Azure, webMethods IO integrator, SAP and Oracle integrators.
