RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Power BI and Azure Web App Developer in Tampa, FL.
Key Tasks:
* Leads end-to-end design, development, and deployment of Azure Web Apps and data analytics solutions, including dashboards, reports, data feeds, and portal-based applications
* Designs scalable Azure App Service architectures across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod), defining API-driven rendering (SPA, SSR, hybrid) and standards for performance, resiliency, and security
* Builds responsive, reusable UI components and ensures consistent, accessible user experience across devices and browsers
* Integrates APIs for Power BI, WebFOCUS, and analytics platforms, implementing resilient patterns (retry logic, timeouts, circuit breakers, graceful fallback)
* Transforms and validates data for presentation while maintaining data integrity, consistency, and API versioning standards
* Implements secure authentication and access controls (Azure AD/Entra ID, OAuth2/OIDC), including RBAC and secure coding practices aligned to OWASP
* Configures and manages Azure services (App Service, API Management, Key Vault, Application Insights, Redis) to support scalability, availability, and performance
* Oversees environment configurations, deployments (blue/green, slots), and ongoing platform maintenance
* Gathers business requirements and develops data pipelines, dashboards, reports, and analytics products
* Leads Power BI embedding strategy, including RLS, identity handling, and portal integration
* Owns dashboard portal catalog (metadata, ownership, governance, lifecycle status) and standardizes UX across analytics tools
* Ensures data accuracy, quality, testing, and governance compliance, partnering with data architecture and governance teams
* Provides production support, incident resolution, and manages version control, backlog, and release processes
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in Azure Web App and Power BI development
* Strong background in data modeling, analytics architecture, and end-to-end Power BI solution delivery
* Advanced SQL skills with experience in ETL/ELT tools (ADF, Talend, etc.)
* Experience working in Agile environments (Jira, Confluence) and managing code/version control
Technical stack includes:
* Azure App Service, API Management, Key Vault, Application Insights
* Power BI, WebFOCUS
* Azure Data Factory, ETL tools
* Exposure to Fabric, Databricks, Azure ML, Dataiku
* SQL, Python/R (preferred)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
