Application Architect III, ServiceNow Developer Help modernize technology for a Wisconsin public-sector organization AE Business Solutions is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support a Wisconsin public-sector organization's ServiceNow implementation. This is a specialized opportunity for a ServiceNow subject matter expert who enjoys designing practical solutions, automating workflows, and working independently with a highly collaborative architecture team.
The role is 100% remote within Wisconsin. Candidates must be current Wisconsin residents, and relocation is not available. Occasional travel to an office in Madison may be required, approximately one to two times per quarter.
What you'll do - Design, develop, customize, and automate ServiceNow solutions that support the client's systems and business processes.
- Configure and enhance ServiceNow applications, including change management capabilities.
- Develop and maintain scripts, workflows, integrations, Business Rules, and UI Policies.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
- Support platform implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Create and maintain technical and solution documentation.
- Collaborate with three architects and a project manager while managing assigned work with minimal supervision.
- Communicate with the team through Microsoft Teams chat and virtual meetings.
Required qualifications - 6-9 years of professional experience with ServiceNow development and related technologies.
- Fluency in programming and development technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Glide scripting, and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow scripting, workflows, and integrations.
- Experience creating and maintaining ServiceNow Business Rules and UI Policies.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least two ServiceNow modules, such as ITSM, ITAM, or CSM.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Current Wisconsin residency. Relocation is not available for this role.
Preferred qualifications - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
- Experience serving as a ServiceNow technical expert or subject matter expert during implementation and ongoing platform support.
Interview process and timing - One-round interview conducted through Microsoft Teams.
- Video and audio will be required.
- AI assistance is prohibited during the interview.
- Interviews are scheduled for September 9 and 10. Candidates must be available within that timeframe.
