Summary

Job Title: Principal Engineer/ Salesforce Architect Marketing Cloud & Data Cloud
Location: Atlanta, GA
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Architect with deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud to lead end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, data-driven customer engagement solutions. The ideal candidate will drive solution strategy, integration design, data modeling, and governance while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
Architecture & Design:
  • Define end-to-end architecture for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud solutions.
  • Design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Lead technical solution design workshops and translate business requirements into architecture blueprints.
  • Establish data architecture, identity resolution strategy, and Customer 360 design using Data Cloud.
  • Marketing Cloud Expertise
Architect solutions across:
  • Email Studio
  • Journey Builder
  • Automation Studio
  • Contact Builder
  • Mobile Studio
  • Personalization / Interaction Studio
  • Design segmentation, personalization, and omni-channel engagement strategies.
  • Implement triggered communications and real-time personalization use cases.
Data Cloud (CDP) Expertise:
  • Design data ingestion pipelines (batch and real-time).
  • Implement data harmonization, identity resolution, and unified customer profiles.
  • Build calculated insights, segments, and activation strategies.
  • Ensure governance, data quality, and compliance with GDPR / CCPA.
Integration & Technical Leadership:
  • Architect integrations between Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, and external systems such as ERP, data warehouses, and APIs.
  • Define API strategies (REST / SOAP) and middleware architecture (MuleSoft preferred).
  • Guide development teams on best practices and technical standards.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and ensure solution scalability.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with business leaders, marketing teams, and IT stakeholders.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and consultants.
  • Support pre-sales activities including solution estimation and proposal creation, where applicable.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in Salesforce Architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Salesforce Data Cloud
  • Deep understanding of:
  • Customer data models
  • Identity resolution
  • Data governance
  • Segmentation and campaign lifecycle
  • Strong experience with API integrations and middleware tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale implementations.
Preferred Certifications:
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer
  • Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant
  • Salesforce Application / System Architect
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (good to have)
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical architecture.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking mindset.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with AI-driven personalization (Einstein features).
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Tableau and CRM Analytics.
  • Industry experience in Healthcare, Retail, Financial
