Scalable Systems and one of my client is looking for SAP Technical Project Manager in Toronto, ON.

Job Description:
Brampton - Hybrid (2-3 days from Office)
1) Project Management & Delivery
Lead end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of SAP technical projects, including:
o Upgrades
o Migrations
o Integrations
o Enhancements
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, communication plans, and delivery roadmaps.
Manage scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, risks, and overall project governance.
Ensure alignment with PMO methodologies (Agile / Waterfall / Hybrid).
2) SAP Technical Leadership
Provide technical oversight across key SAP components: SAP modules, BASIS, ABAP, security, infrastructure, and interface technologies.
Collaborate with technical leads on solution architecture, system design, and technical feasibility.
Facilitate:
o Code reviews
o Transport management
o Technical cutover planning and execution
3) Stakeholder Management
Work closely with business process owners, functional consultants, architects, and technical teams.
Manage relationships with external vendors, system integrators, and offshore/onshore delivery teams.
Prepare and deliver status reports, executive updates, and materials for steering committees.
4) Risk & Issue Management
Identify, assess, track, and mitigate project risks, technical issues, and system dependencies.
Drive root-cause analysis for:
o Defects
o Performance issues
o Integration failures
Ensure compliance with organizational security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
5) Change & Release Management
Oversee SAP transport movement, release cycles, and deployment governance.
Coordinate:
o Cutover activity planning
o Production readiness checks
o Hypercare support during stabilization
Ensure smooth deployment transitions across environments.
6) Documentation & Process Governance
Ensure all technical and project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date, including:
o Functional & technical specifications
o Architecture diagrams
o SOPs and runbooks
Enforce SAP best practices for development, testing, operations, and quality assurance.
Required Qualifications
7 12 years of experience in SAP technical environments (ABAP, BASIS, integrations).
4 8 years of project management experience leading SAP initiatives.
Hands-on experience delivering S/4HANA or ECC transformation programs.
Proven experience with SAP integration technologies:
o IDocs, RFC, APIs, PI/PO, CPI
Ability to manage complex SAP landscapes and cross-functional dependencies.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of:
o SAP system architecture
o Transport management
o Landscape design
Conceptual experience in:
o ABAP development, enhancements, debugging
Understanding of:
o SAP Basis administration
o Security roles & authorization concepts
Familiarity with:
o Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS)
o SAP BTP
o Integration tools
Proficiency with project tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet.
Project Management Skills
Expertise in Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong competency in:
o Sprint planning
o Backlog management
o Release planning
Excellent documentation, presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
