Title: Engineering Manager

Location: Minnesota (Hybrid/Onsite, 4 Days per Week)

Job Type: Contract

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead Agile sprint execution and ensure successful delivery of committed sprint objectives.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for delivery, quality, and execution-related issues.
  • Manage software engineering teams, including resource planning, forecasting, onboarding, and performance coaching.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and stakeholders to define technical solutions and delivery roadmaps.
  • Provide effort estimation, backlog sizing, and project planning support for new initiatives.
  • Establish and enforce software engineering best practices, coding standards, and code review processes.
  • Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, secure, high-performing, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and team collaboration.


Must Have/Required:
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering and application development.
  • Proven experience managing software engineering teams and driving successful project delivery.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and ReactJS (or equivalent modern technology stack).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with responsibility for sprint execution and delivery management.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, code quality practices, and engineering best practices.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies.
  • Experience with effort estimation, project planning, resource management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
