SAP ABAP Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a hands‑on SAP ABAP Analyst to design, develop, and optimize custom solutions across our SAP landscape. You will work closely with functional teams (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, QM, HCM, SuccessFactors, Ariba, etc.) and platform engineers to deliver robust, scalable, and secure ABAP developments that adhere to SAP and corporate development standards. The ideal candidate excels in end‑to‑end ownership: requirements analysis, technical design (TDD), build, unit testing, performance optimization, transport management, documentation, and production support.

Skill Set:

• ABAP development experience (ECC and/or S/4HANA), with strong RICEF portfolio. Proficiency in ABAP OO, CDS views, AMDP, BAPIs/IDocs, OData services, and Adobe/Smart Forms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) using ABAP OO, classical ABAP, and modern S/4HANA‑optimized patterns.
  
• Build/enhance interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services (OData/REST), SOAP, and middleware patterns (e.g., PI/PO, CPI).
  
• Develop Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, ALV reports (SALV/CL_GUI_ALV_GRID), and custom transactions/Fiori‑compatible services.
  
• Implement BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Points, and Business Workflow where applicable.
  
• Create Technical Design Documents (TDDs), unit test scripts, and support functional/integration/UAT testing.
  
• Manage transports across environments using CTS/CTS+; ensure change control compliance and segregation of duties (SoD).
  
• Participate in production support (L3), incident resolution, root‑cause analysis, and long‑term corrective actions.
  
• Partner with functional consultants to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.
  
• Enforce secure coding standards, data privacy guidelines, and SAP Clean Core principles; advocate for reusability and low‑code alternatives where sensible (e.g., BTP CAP/Fiori Elements).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5+ years of hands‑on ABAP development experience (ECC and/or S/4HANA), with strong RICEF portfolio.
  
• Proficiency in ABAP OO, CDS views, AMDP, BAPIs/IDocs, OData services, and Adobe/Smart Forms.
  
• Solid experience with performance tuning, debugging, dumps analysis (ST22), locks (SM12), and background jobs (SM37).
  
• Strong understanding of at least two SAP functional areas (e.g., SD/MM, FI/CO, PP/QM, EWM, HCM).
  
• Familiarity with ATC/SCI, transport management, versions/Git‑enabled CTS or DevOps tooling, and solution documentation.
  
• Experience working with integration platforms (SAP PI/PO, CPI, or equivalent iPaaS) and RESTful paradigms.
  
• Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate across time zones and drive clarity from ambiguity.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior delivery experience on S/4HANA greenfield, brownfield, or selective transformation programs.
  
• Exposure to SAP BTP (CAP, RAP), Fiori/UI5, and Event Mesh; experience building OData services for Fiori apps.
  
• Experience with Test Automation (eCATT/CBTA/OPA5), CI/CD for ABAP (gCTS, abapGit), and automated code checks.
  
• Knowledge of security & compliance (authorization objects, SU24/SU53, data masking, audit readiness).
  
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira/Azure Boards, and ITIL processes (Incident/Problem/Change/Release).
