Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Computer Systems Architect to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
Design and guide SAP utility solutions, including SAP S/4HANA where applicable, by defining architecture, component interactions, interfaces, integration requirements, and technical approaches that align with enterprise standards and business objectives.
Analyze customer service operations, utility business processes, and system performance to identify improvement opportunities, develop recommendations, document requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Serve as a subject matter expert for Retail Choice and Retail Access processes, including supplier transactions, enrollment and change activities, market requirements, exception management, regulatory support, and operational issue resolution.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical support teams, and project leadership to translate business needs into technical requirements, support testing and validation, guide production fixes, improve workflows, and maintain governance and business continuity.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
6–9 years of experience in SAP IS-U Retail, SAP utility solutions, enterprise architecture, or related utility business systems, with advanced knowledge of customer service operations and retail energy processes.
Technical Skills:
SAP IS-U, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Retail Utilities, SAP Integration Architecture, Requirements Analysis, Business Process Modeling, System Interfaces, Query and Reporting Tools, Data Analysis, Microsoft Office
Business / Domain Skills:
Experience supporting utility and energy-sector customer service operations, including retail utility services, customer account processes, supplier transactions, and operational performance management.
Experience supporting Retail Choice and Retail Access business processes, including supplier enrollment, customer changes, market transactions, exception management, and applicable regulatory and operational requirements.
Experience analyzing utility business processes, documenting operational procedures, identifying risks, supporting internal controls, and recommending workflow improvements to enhance service delivery and business continuity.
Experience collaborating with utility business stakeholders, SAP support teams, and technical organizations to translate customer service and retail operations requirements into system enhancements, testing activities, production fixes, and implementation plans.
Communication:
Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Documentation:
Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing architectural direction, conducting business and technical analysis, and supporting enterprise SAP utility implementations or enhancement programs.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint, along with experience using reporting tools to analyze operational performance and support business decisions.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions and manage competing priorities.
