Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Computer Systems Architect to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
Design and implement SAP utility solutions, including SAP S/4HANA where applicable, ensuring alignment with business requirements, enterprise architecture standards, and technical integration needs.
Provide expert technical direction for SAP IS-U development, solution design, production fixes, and system enhancements while defining interaction requirements among components, subsystems, and interfaces.
Analyze and resolve utility billing exceptions, including outsorts, implausible readings, and other exception scenarios, applying sound knowledge of SAP utility processes and established exception-handling procedures.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to investigate billing issues, document requirements, coordinate resolution activities, and support solution validation and successful implementation.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
10+ years of experience in SAP IS-U, including expert-level knowledge of SAP utility system processes, billing exception handling, solution architecture, production support, and enterprise application integration.

Business / Domain Skills:
Experience supporting utility and energy-sector operations, particularly billing processes, billing exceptions, customer account activities, and operational workflows within utility service environments.
Experience handling utility billing exceptions, including outsorts, implausible readings, exception investigation, root-cause analysis, and coordination of resolution activities to support billing accuracy.
Experience aligning utility business requirements with technical solutions, supporting operational continuity, and coordinating with business teams and technical support organizations to resolve system and process issues.
Experience supporting utility application enhancements, production fixes, workflow improvements, and solution implementation while maintaining alignment with business procedures and operational requirements.
Communication:
Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Documentation:
Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.
Work Authorization:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.
