Role: Executive Director (Donor Management)

Duration: Full Time

Location: Austin, TX (Remote)

Job Description:

The Executive Director serves as the chief donor management leader for the client. They will be

responsible for advancing the organization, mission through donor engagement, strategic communications, board relations, international partnership management, and operational execution. This individual will work closely with the President and Board of Directors, develop donor presentations, and maintain a strong collaborative relationship with the client’s partner organization in India.

The ideal candidate is an organized, diplomatic, and entrepreneurial leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution while representing the client with donors, partners, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Donor Relations

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective donors.

Prepare donor communications, proposals, impact reports, and fundraising presentations.

Keep President up to date on meetings and new information regarding the foundation and their

international partners

Strategic Communications and Presentations

Create professional presentations, newsletters, reports, and briefing materials for donors, partners, and board meetings.

Develop compelling narratives that communicate the client’s mission, impact, and funding opportunities.

Ensure consistent messaging across all stakeholder communications.

Board Relations

Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors.

Prepare agendas, board packets, presentations, and meeting materials.

Provide regular updates on the client’s performance and growth.

International Partnership Management

Maintain a close and productive working relationship with the client partner in India.

Coordinate joint initiatives, reporting requirements, and strategic planning efforts.

Keep up to date on sustainable projects in India and the growth they’ve completed.

Operations and Program Support

Coordinate travel arrangements and represent the client at meetings, conferences, and donor events.

Develop and maintain organizational systems, calendars, and reporting processes.

Support grant applications, program reporting, and special initiatives as needed.

Travel Requirements

Moderate travel required for donor meetings, conferences, board meetings, and partner engagement activities, including occasional international travel to Europe and India.
