Location: Washington, District of Columbia (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking an entry-level Business Systems Analyst to support a federal financial management system. This role operates in a Tier 1/Tier 2 support environment with a strong emphasis on user interaction and issue resolution. The position involves working onsite five days a week in a secure client facility, providing direct support to end-users of a critical system. This is an opportunity to join a stable, long-term program with a clear path for growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to end-users and handle inbound user issues related to login, access, and functionality.
- Work tickets in ServiceNow, troubleshoot system issues, and identify root causes.
- Replicate problems and document solutions or workarounds, communicating resolutions back to users.
- Escalate complex issues to the senior team for resolution.
- Support system testing, validation, and configuration changes.
- Document processes, defects, and solutions to build system familiarity and functional expertise.
- Interact and communicate with end-users and IT personnel to provide advice on process best practices.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in application support, help desk, or a junior business systems analyst role with user-facing responsibilities. An equivalent of 2-4 years of relevant experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or Information Systems is preferred but not required.
Skills: Must possess strong communication and user interaction skills. Must have a willingness to work onsite 5 days a week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ServiceNow or other help desk/ticketing systems.
- Background in business systems or application support.
- Exposure to financial or ERP systems.
- Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification.
Work Environment
The role requires working five days a week, Monday through Friday, at a client site in Washington, D.C. The team operates within a coverage window from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and schedules are coordinated collaboratively. Free parking is available onsite.
