The Help Desk Support Specialist provides first-level technical support in a fast-paced service desk environment. This role supports desktops, laptops, email, VPN, connectivity, hardware, printing, and general end-user issues. The specialist logs all issues in the ticketing system, resolves first-level and some second-level incidents, and escalates complex issues to the appropriate teams when needed. This position requires strong customer service skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, Windows, Office 365, VPN, hardware, and connectivity issues.
Log and document all support requests in ServiceNow and ensure timely ticket resolution and closure.
Troubleshoot email issues, account setup, and O365 application problems for students, faculty, and staff.
Perform account access management, including provisioning, updates, and account locking using tools similar to Active Directory.
Navigate and support student Google Workspace accounts connected through O365 credentials.
Diagnose and resolve routine hardware and software issues; perform basic installation and configuration tasks.
Collaborate with backline support teams to escalate issues and assist in long-term problem prevention.
Maintain and update knowledge base articles to improve support accuracy and consistency.
Participate in team knowledge sharing and assist peers with troubleshooting when needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $8.00 - $23.00/hr.
