Description- Designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting of our virtualized infrastructure, primarily based on VMware vSphere and related technologies

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING#LI-TF1
Requirements- Administer and maintain a VMware vSphere environment, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and related components
- Implement and manage vSAN storage solutions
- Configure and manage NSX-T network virtualization
- Provision, configure, and maintain virtual machines (VMs) according to established standards and best practices
- Monitor system performance and capacity, identifying and resolving bottlenecks
- Perform regular health checks and proactive maintenance to ensure system stability
- Apply patches and upgrades to VMware infrastructure components
- Participate in the design and implementation of new virtualized solutions to meet business requirements
- Develop and maintain documentation related to the virtual infrastructure
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerCLI, Python)
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) plans for the virtual environment, using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) or similar technologies
- Plan and execute migrations of physical servers to virtual machines
Desired Skills- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification or VCA
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Advanced scripting skills (e.g., PowerCLI, Python) for automation and reporting
- Experience with advanced storage configurations
- Expert knowledge of networking concepts
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
