Software Engineer
Location: Sacramento, CA

Project Overview
- Eligibility and enrollment system for health programs. It interfaces with federal and state systems ensuring compliance with ACA requirements. The platform handles high-volume transactions and integrates technologies like Java, AWS, Aurora Postgres, ForgeRock, and Salesforce.
- Technology stack: Java web-based applications, AWS cloud infrastructure, Aurora Postgres databases, ForgeRock identity management, and Salesforce components. Testing scope spans usability, security (vulnerability and penetration), regression, UAT, role-based, defect, functional, and Selenium-based automation, as well as O&M tasks like disaster recovery and release cutover validation.
Role Overview
- The Software Engineer will design and maintain automation frameworks, validate system functionality, and ensure quality across large-scale eligibility and enrollment systems. This role requires deep experience in SDLC, automation, and testing for enterprise applications, working closely with State and System Integrator teams to quality frameworks and metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using data-driven and keyword-driven methodologies.
- Execute functional, regression, and UAT for large-scale government IT systems.
- Create scenario roadmaps and write test scripts from requirements and design artifacts.
- Query Aurora Postgres databases for test data validation.
- Conduct testing for high-volume, scalable web applications across multiple browsers, OS, and mobile devices.
- Utilize tools such as Selenium, SoapUI, React, Jenkins, GitLab, and ALM for automation and test management.
- Validate integrations with ForgeRock, AWS, and Salesforce platforms.
- Document test results, discrepancies, and support defect triage.
- Participate in disaster recovery testing, release cutover validation, and advocate testing.
- Collaborate with State and System Integrator teams to ensure adherence to quality frameworks and compliance standards.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 3+ years in all phases of SDLC (waterfall and agile).
- 3+ years in UAT for large-scale eligibility/enrollment government IT projects.
- 5+ years developing scenario roadmaps and implementing functionality.
- 3+ years querying Aurora Postgres.
- 3+ years testing high-volume web applications (>10,000 transactions/day).
- 3+ years using SoapUI, React, Jenkins, GitLab, Selenium, ALM.
- 5+ years combined experience testing conversion, Java web apps, and integrations with ForgeRock, AWS, Aurora Postgres.
- 5+ years developing and testing automation frameworks.
- 5+ years Selenium automation/regression testing.
- 2+ years testing Salesforce applications.
