About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior .NET Engineer to support large-scale application modernization and infrastructure transformation initiatives. This role will focus on migrating legacy applications from traditional data center environments to modernized platforms while enhancing application architecture, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

The ideal candidate combines deep .NET development expertise with hands-on experience leading or supporting enterprise migration efforts and application upgrades. This individual will partner closely with engineering teams, architects, infrastructure specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver strategic technology solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support migration of enterprise applications from legacy data centers to modern infrastructure environments.
  • Analyze existing application architectures and recommend modernization strategies.
  • Upgrade and refactor .NET applications to improve scalability, security, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement technical solutions for complex engineering and business challenges.
  • Collaborate with architects, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to define migration roadmaps and implementation plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and consultation on application modernization best practices.
  • Evaluate risks, dependencies, and performance impacts associated with migration initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment procedures.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to optimize platforms, processes, and development practices.
  • Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and post-migration stabilization activities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, demonstrated through professional work experience, consulting engagements, military experience, education, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using the Microsoft .NET technology stack.
  • Proven experience migrating applications from legacy data center environments to modernized infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience upgrading and modernizing enterprise applications as part of migration initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, and/or .NET Core/.NET.
  • Experience with system integration, enterprise architecture, and application lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of modern software architecture patterns and microservices.
  • Experience supporting large-scale modernization, transformation, or infrastructure migration programs.
  • Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.
