Summary

Overview:

We are seeking a Java Software Engineer for a long-term Federal client engagement in Arlington, VA.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and AWS, along with experience developing enterprise applications and backend services.
This is a hybrid contract position requiring 2 days onsite per week.
An Active Secret Clearance is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
Build and support applications and services using AWS.
Participate in software development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with technical teams to deliver scalable and reliable software solutions.
Apply strong software engineering practices within a Federal and enterprise development environment.

Required Qualifications:

Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
Experience with Spring Boot.
Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
Hands-on experience with AWS.
Experience with enterprise application development and backend development.
Strong software engineering fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working on Federal Government projects.
Experience working in large-scale enterprise development environments.
Experience supporting long-term Federal client engagements.
