Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our core systems and data center infrastructure, ensuring reliability and high availability. This role requires expertise in server integration, disaster recovery planning, and automation processes to support efficient operations and business continuity.
Responsibilities:
Manage and administer physical and virtual servers across Linux, Windows, and other platforms to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Oversee data center operations, focusing on high availability and optimizing system performance for critical transactions.
Implement and test automation solutions to meet evolving business requirements using advanced tools and platforms.
Coordinate disaster recovery efforts, including failover processes and root cause analysis to enhance infrastructure resilience.
Collaborate with outsourced resources and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and adherence to best practices.
Evaluate, document, and refine operational processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
Support batch job scheduling and business process automation to streamline workflows.
Act as a Tier-level resource for troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues.
Drive continuous improvements by analyzing system performance and implementing necessary enhancements.
Ensure compliance with security protocols and system standards across all environments.
Requirements
Proven expertise in managing Active Directory and Microsoft Windows Server environments.
Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory and Citrix Technologies.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Unix/Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with storage virtualization and virtual environments.
Ability to configure, provision, and maintain servers effectively.
Experience with automation tools and batch job scheduling processes.
Preferred experience with Episys Jack Henry software applications.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently.
