Embedded Software Test Engineers to support our client's validation of firmware, BLE connectivity, RTOS behavior, and real-time device interactions. This role focuses on test design, embedded automation, hardware-in-loop (HIL) testing, and ensuring safety-critical firmware reliability.
What You'll Do- Create and execute manual and automated test cases for embedded firmware.
- Validate BLE performance, connectivity, pairing/bonding, and interoperability.
- Test real-time behaviors on RTOS-based systems (FreeRTOS, ThreadX, Zephyr).
- Develop Python automation scripts for regression, stress, and reliability testing.
- Perform hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and bench-level testing using scopes, analyzers, and debug tools.
- Log defects, reproduce firmware issues, and partner with developers for root-cause analysis.
- Maintain traceability across requirements, test cases, and results in regulated environments.
- Support continuous improvement of embedded QA frameworks and processes.
What We're Looking For- 2-8+ years of embedded software test experience.
- Experience testing firmware on microcontrollers and real-time systems.
- Solid Python scripting skills for test automation.
- Familiarity with BLE testing tools and protocol analyzers.
- Hands-on use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, JTAG/SWD debuggers.
- Strong understanding of embedded SDLC, defect lifecycle, and verification practices.
- Medical device testing experience is a bonus.
