Job Description:

Overview:

This resource needs to have a background in web and mobile development but will not be coding. Responsible for accessibility testing of web and mobile apps. Testing things like color, contrast, keyboard navigation through web page, text to speak, etc. Will work closely with stakeholders across multiple LOBs to test code and provide guidance and feedback to ensure they are compliant with accessibility guidelines. The team is looking for technically strong candidates who can act as a bridge between development teams and business stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills

2+ years of working experience in frontend development using HTML, CSS, Angular and/or JavaScript.

Must have knowledge of Digital Accessibility Guidelines. The team is using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 AA (WCAG 2.0 AA) (often required by ADA Title II)

Need to have a consultative mindset and be able to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Must have a strong technical acumen and desire to learn new skills on the job.

Role Expectations / Day-to-Day

NOTE: This role is not a hands-on coding role, however candidates must understand development and design deeply enough to test code and provide guidance.

You will be a liaison between the technical teams and non-technical stakeholders (Product Owners, Project Managers, etc) who are developing the internal applications.

Review and test code to identify accessibility issues and provide guidance to the business stakeholders to resolve the issues identified.

Submit work created by the team to be reviewed and tested

The role is highly collaborative and customer-impact focused. Must be able to clearly articulate customer impact to stakeholders.

Will be the technical expert and consult with the tech and design teams

Translate technical details for non-technical business partners.
