Summary

The AS400 Operator is responsible for managing and executing batch jobs, troubleshooting system issues, ensuring data backup and security, monitoring system performance, managing user access, and utilizing CL interface/commands. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of the AS400 system.

Responsibilities:

Execute and monitor batch jobs on the AS400 system.
Troubleshoot system issues and escalate to appropriate teams if needed.
Ensure data backup procedures are followed and data is securely stored.
Monitor system performance and take necessary actions to optimize performance.
Manage user access and security settings on the AS400 system.
Utilize CL interface/commands for system operations and maintenance.

Required Skills:

Experience with executing and monitoring batch jobs on AS400.
Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve system issues.
Knowledge of data backup procedures and security best practices.
Ability to monitor system performance and optimize as needed.
Experience in managing user access and security settings.
Familiarity with CL interface/commands for system operations.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in AS400 operations or related field.
Experience with AS400 system administration.
Knowledge of scripting languages for automation tasks.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
