SAP FICO Record to Report (R2R, RTR) Lead 

The Role: The SAP Record to Report (R2R) Lead will serve as the primary subject matter expert and team leader responsible for driving the end-to-end R2R strategy, governance, and execution within SAP. This is a senior leadership role that requires a hands-on leader who can guide cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders at all levels, and own the delivery of R2R workstreams from design through go-live. This role is located in Toronto, Canada and requires being onsite several days a week.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 5-7 years of SAP R2R functional experience, including ownership of full lifecycle implementations and large-scale support programs
• Proven track record of leading R2R teams through complex SAP transformations, including GL, period-end close, financial consolidation, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting
• Deep hands-on expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting, with the ability to mentor and guide junior consultants
• Experience owning and leading data migration and conversion strategies within R2R workstreams
• Ability to lead business requirement workshops, facilitate design sessions, and drive decisions across business and technical stakeholders
• Strong leadership presence with demonstrated ability to build and manage high-performing teams, define program governance, and hold teams accountable to milestones
• Executive-level communication skills with the ability to present complex R2R solutions, risks, and recommendations to C-suite and senior finance leadership
• Ability to manage competing priorities, resolve escalations, and proactively mitigate project risks

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA or CPA designation is a plus
• 5-7+ years of relevant SAP R2R or finance transformation experience in a lead or senior consultant capacity
• Strong SAP FICO configuration expertise across core finance modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and Internal Orders
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (SAP HANA migration or greenfield/brownfield implementations preferred), including Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and the new Asset Accounting framework
• Proficiency in SAP Financial Closing Cockpit, month-end and year-end close processes, and financial statement configuration within SAP
• Experience with SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM), Bank Account Management (BAM), or Cash Management is a strong plus
• Familiarity with SAP Intercompany Reconciliation (ICR), Document Splitting, and Parallel Accounting / Multiple Ledger configurations
• Working knowledge of SAP integration touchpoints with adjacent modules including MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), and PP (Production Planning) as they relate to financial postings and R2R processes
•  BW/4HANA, or Fiori-based financial reporting apps
• Prior experience managing or mentoring a team of SAP functional consultants
