Deployment Engineer – Wireless Network Deployment (Samsung)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Field-Based with Remote Work Flexibility)
Travel: Local travel throughout the Atlanta market required
Pay: $90,000-100,000
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Deployment Engineer to support 5G wireless network deployment activities within a large metropolitan market. This role is ideal for a self-sufficient engineer who can independently manage deployment activities, coordinate field operations, and ensure successful implementation of wireless infrastructure projects.
The position is approximately 30% field-based and 70% remote/home-office based, requiring regular travel throughout the Atlanta area. Candidates must be comfortable driving to deployment sites, with some locations requiring travel of up to two hours from the engineer''s home base.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage and execute wireless deployment projects within an assigned market.
- Coordinate and oversee deployment activities for 5G wireless network infrastructure.
- Perform site audits, deployment verification, and quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with construction, integration, optimization, and operations teams to ensure successful deployment execution.
- Review deployment documentation, engineering packages, and project deliverables.
- Track project milestones and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Identify risks, troubleshoot deployment issues, and drive resolution efforts.
- Support vendor coordination and field crews throughout deployment activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting 5G wireless network deployment projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with Samsung wireless equipment and technologies.
- Ability to independently manage deployment activities across a wireless market with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of wireless deployment processes, site implementation, and network infrastructure.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver''s license and reliable personal vehicle for travel throughout the market.
- Ability to travel regularly within the Atlanta area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Samsung USM (User Service Management) and/or Samsung WFM (Workforce Management) tools.
- Previous experience supporting large-market wireless deployments.
- OSHA certification highly preferred (not required).
- Experience working with telecommunications carriers, OEMs, or deployment vendors.
Work Environment
- Approximately 70% remote/home-based work focused on project coordination, reporting, and documentation.
- Approximately 30% field work supporting deployment activities, site visits, inspections, and issue resolution.
- Frequent local travel throughout the greater Atlanta market.
