Role OverviewWe are seeking a UI5 Developer for a contract role based in San Antonio, Texas. This position requires working on-site a minimum of three days per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building custom applications within an S/4 HANA environment, demonstrating the ability to work independently and take high-level functional designs to create solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Build custom UI5 applications with a focus on JavaScript, not Fiori development.
- Work within an S/4 HANA environment to develop and deploy solutions.
- Collaborate with technical and functional teams to analyze and design solutions.
- Develop modularized ABAP code and handle full lifecycle custom development, including enhancements.
- Resolve system defects identified during the testing phase.
- Adhere to development standards and follow the change management process for application deployment.
- Work independently with minimal guidance to deliver on project priorities.
Required Qualifications- Experience building custom applications with SAP UI5, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Proficiency with Business Application Studio (BAS).
- Experience working in an S/4 HANA environment.
- Strong understanding of modularized ABAP code.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and possess strong communication skills.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming, MVC, and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with Gateway Services, OData, and CDS views.
Preferred Qualifications- Modular experience with TSW or IS-Oil.
- Experience working with Git for version control.
- Familiarity with new S/4HANA coding syntax and best practices.
