Overview
The Analytics Consultant will support data and reporting initiatives, focusing on delivering high-quality analytics solutions that drive business insights and decision-making. This role blends business-facing collaboration with hands-on technical expertise across data extraction, transformation, reporting, and dashboard development.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with business units to gather, document, and validate reporting and analytics requirements.
Maintain strong, consultative relationships with internal stakeholders across business teams.
Present completed reports, dashboards, and data products for review, feedback, and final approval.
Support the alignment and clarity of business metrics, definitions, and performance indicators.
Data & Reporting Delivery
Extract, transform, and stitch together data from various backend sources using SQL and established data processes.
Build scalable, logical, and visually clear reporting outputs for business consumption.
Create Power BI dashboards and visualizations to help stakeholders understand trends and performance.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across all analytics products.
Performance Expectations
Demonstrate strong initiation by proactively identifying opportunities, gaps, and improvements in analytics workflows and reporting.
Collaborate effectively within the analytics team and across functional groups to share insights, knowledge, and best practices.
Technical Environment
Backend data sources (various systems and databases)
Azure Cloud (preferred)
Salesforce (preferred)
Power BI
SQL-based querying and ETL logic
Qualifications
Approximately 5+ years of related experience, comparable to a Business Analyst or Data Analyst level.
Strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and reporting solutions.
Proven comfort working across both business and technical domains.

Comfortable engaging in working sessions, brainstorming, and co-creation of reporting solutions.

Self-starter mentality with the ability to identify gaps, propose improvements, and proactively raise ideas without waiting for direction.
Strong sense of ownership for delivering reporting solutions end-to-end-from requirement gathering to final handoff.
Ability to independently manage workload, prioritize tasks, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to assess data issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose practical solutions.
Comfortable working with ambiguity and turning loosely defined business needs into structured reporting outputs.
A continuous improvement mindset, always seeking ways to enhance data quality, processes, and reporting clarity.
Business Acumen
Ability to understand business metrics, KPIs, and operational drivers, especially within insurance or financial services.
Skilled at validating metric definitions and ensuring consistency across teams and reports.
Ability to see the "big picture" while still being detail-oriented in execution.
