What You'll Do

As an Access Control Installer, you'll work hands-on in the field installing and supporting physical security systems in commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities:

• Install and service access control hardware including door strikes, mag locks, crash bars, sensors, and card readers
• Pull, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (Cat5/Cat6; fiber experience a plus)
• Assist with access control, CCTV, and security system installations
• Troubleshoot wiring, hardware, and basic system issues
• Work on job sites such as schools, government buildings, and commercial facilities
• Collaborate with project teams and report to different job sites as needed
• Perform physical installation work including ladder use, drilling, lifting, and overhead work

Required Qualifications:

• Interested in access control, low voltage, or security installation (Prior experience level will determine pay)
• Strong job tenure and a history of reliability
• Ability to perform physical installation work in commercial environments
• Willingness to learn new systems and improve technical skills
• Positive attitude, punctuality, and strong work ethic

Preferred Experience (Not Required):

• Access control platforms such as Lenel, S2, Genetec, or similar
• Door hardware and electrified locking systems
• Experience with manufacturers like Allegion or ASSA ABLOY
• Commercial low voltage or electrical apprentice experience
• CCTV or VMS installation experience

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $18-$25 per hour, based on relevant experience
• Schedule: Typically four 10-hour days
• Occasional Friday work may be required, but it is rare

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
