Job Description

We are looking for an experienced BESS Project Manager to lead utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from early development through construction readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, renewable energy, engineering, construction, financial planning, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction planning and development of utility-scale BESS projects.

• Coordinate engineering, procurement, estimating, and construction teams.

• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and financial feasibility.

• Support contract negotiations, including EPC and engineering services.

• Coordinate permitting, environmental approvals, land acquisition, and grid interconnection.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and executive leadership.

• Present project progress, financial models, and risk mitigation strategies.

• Ensure smooth handover of projects to construction teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience; 

• Experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, or project development.

• Strong project planning, budgeting, contract management, and stakeholder communication skills.

• Renewable energy experience, particularly BESS, solar, wind, or utility-scale energy projects, is highly desirable.

• Experience with permitting, regulatory requirements, EPC contracts, or grid interconnection is an advantage.

Additional Information

• Remote position.

• Occasional travel to project sites and local public hearings may be required.
