Overview
Our client is seeking a senior-level HR Transformation SME to support a large-scale enterprise modernization initiative. This individual will play a critical role in assessing, redesigning, and guiding the transformation of HR processes across the organization.
This is a high-impact, advisory-focused role where the consultant will work alongside program leadership to evaluate current HR operations, provide recommendations, and help drive improvements across systems, processes, and organizational structure.
Program Environment / Context
- Large-scale, multi-year transformation initiative
- HR transformation is a current bottleneck, with leadership prioritizing immediate SME support
- Existing HR processes are considered outdated and require modernization alongside new system implementations
- The role will interface with both consulting teams and internal stakeholders across the organization
Key Responsibilities
- Lead assessment and transformation of HR processes across the organization
- Provide advisory oversight on HR operations, including hiring, onboarding, compliance, and workforce management
- Evaluate current-state HR practices and recommend improvements aligned with modern standards
- Support large-scale HR system and process transformation initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align HR processes with broader organizational goals
- Guide stakeholders on best practices for HR operations in evolving system environments
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and working sessions across various locations
- Help establish scalable, compliant HR frameworks suitable for a complex, regulated environment
Required Experience & Background
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on leadership (Director level or above)
- Proven experience leading or supporting HR transformation initiatives
- Strong background in large-scale HR operations (enterprise or public sector environments)
- Experience with system implementations or major process changes impacting HR functions
- Deep understanding of full HR lifecycle (recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations, compliance)
- Demonstrated ability to operate in advisory and strategic roles
Preferred Experience
- Experience in government or public sector environments
- Background in highly regulated environments with strict compliance standards
- Experience in organizations with complex audit, documentation, and reporting structures
