Senior Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Chicago, IL.

Key Responsibilities:
* Senior Project Manager will lead end-to-end project management for large, complex application development initiatives
* Build and maintain detailed project plans using tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet
* Manage project dependencies, resource allocation, timelines, and change impacts
* Maintain and manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
* Manage project budgets exceeding $10M, including forecasting, burn rate tracking, and budget vs. actual reporting
* Develop and present executive-level status updates and dashboards using PowerPoint or Google Slides
* Translate detailed project information into clear, high-level business summaries for senior leadership
* As a Senior Project Manager, you will ensure alignment of project outcomes with business value, including revenue impact, cost savings, and process improvements
* Facilitate clear communication and manage stakeholder expectations, including difficult conversations when needed

REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of IT Project Management experience in structured, complex environments
* Strong application development project management background
* Proven experience managing large budgets ($10M+)
* Experience presenting to senior and executive leadership
* Strong proficiency with project planning tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
* Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency
* Calm, professional, and effective under pressure
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence without authority
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* PMI certification preferred (PMP or equivalent)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
