Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Lansing, MI that is seeking a Project Manager.

A large enterprise organization is seeking a project management professional to support the delivery of technology initiatives across multiple business units. The environment includes Agile and traditional delivery frameworks and emphasizes structured governance, cross-functional collaboration, and consistent delivery of business value. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with potential conversion to a permanent role based on performance and business needs after 6-12 months.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, organize, and manage small to medium-sized technology projects from initiation through delivery
* Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
* Develop project roadmaps, delivery strategies, and risk mitigation plans aligned with business goals
* Oversee execution of project plans, including task assignments and coordination of internal and external teams
* Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, technical teams, and end users to define requirements and document solutions
* Monitor project progress across multiple Agile teams and business units to ensure timely delivery of outcomes
* Track and report on scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, and issues; escalate as needed
* Prepare and distribute regular project status updates to stakeholders and leadership
* Coordinate with enterprise governance and portfolio management functions to ensure compliance with standards and reporting requirements
* Support operational readiness and deployment activities as part of project completion
* Mentor and support other project teams as needed
* Use project portfolio management (PPM) and Agile tools to track progress, productivity, and performance

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
* PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification (preferred)
* 5+ years of experience in IT or software project management
* Experience supporting systems development or application delivery projects
* Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and traditional project management practices
* Experience working in a scaled Agile environment (e.g., SAFe preferred)
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to analyze complex problems and make sound independent decisions
* Experience using PPM tools and Agile tracking systems
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
