Electromagnetic Test and Evaluation Engineer

Role Overview
An opportunity is available for an Electromagnetic Test and Evaluation Engineer to support a test and evaluation team. This role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to create solutions for unique requirements in a laboratory environment. The position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to work on the development, verification, and sustainment of radar missile seekers within an advanced hardware-in-the-loop simulation facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate requirements for various electromagnetic test systems and components.
- Develop hardware and software architectures to integrate systems and components.
- Perform modeling, simulation, and other forms of analysis to predict system performance.
- Define and conduct tests to validate performance against customer design requirements.
- Provide product support by developing root-cause analysis for anomalies.
- Independently operate test procedures and coordinate with customers to satisfy test needs.
- Solve technical anomalies and seek to improve existing processes.
- Run a radar test facility and assist in the creation of radar missile seekers.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, physics, or mathematics is required. A Master's degree may qualify a candidate for a Level 2 position.
Experience: This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates directly out of college. No prior professional experience is required, though internships are considered a plus.
Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. An interim clearance is required to start.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework in Electromagnetics, Digital Signal Processing, or Radar Theory.
- Experience with Fourier theory and complex Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
- Familiarity with Field-Programmable Gated Array (FPGA) logic design.
- Experience with embedded programming and control of hardware.
- Experience with LabVIEW or MATLAB.
- Experience in RF (radio frequency) testing or hands-on hardware in a lab environment.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated salary for this position is between $80,000 and $90,000 annually. The pay rate for the contract portion is between $28.00/hr and $38.00/hr.
